Company Profile - Weblor Springs Coatings & Distribution

The origins of the Weblor group stretch back to the mid 70's ,when Dave Webster started an engineering supply company mainly dealing in abrasives and other engineering consumables.

From this it was recognized that there was a market requirement for a spring manufacturing facility. Dave, together with his best friend, started manufacturing springs (the original company is today one of the largest of its type in South Africa).

In the early 80's the friendship and business relationship unfortunately ceased, and subsequently Weblor Springs was formed.

Roger Hazel, a metallurgical specialist, joined Dave in the late 80's . Roger's metallurgical skill and manufacturing know how, together with Dave's selling and marketing skills, brought the company to the success it is today.

In 1998 it was recognized that there was a need in South Africa for environmentally friendly industrial coatings. Weblor Coatings, started by Dave's son, Bryan Webster, then joined the group.

Weblor Coatings incorporated a Polymer Flooring Division, has been sold to Structural Application (Pty) Ltd.

The Weblor Group of Companies today consists of:

• Weblor Springs - Design and manufacture of all types of coil springs, flats and wire forms.
• Weblor Coatings - Manufacture of environmentally friendly performance coatings and Detergents.
